International Festival

An annual fixture in Hiroshima City since 2000, this event is led by citizens’ groups, companies, and others, all of whom are locally active in international exchange and cooperation.

By providing opportunities for Japanese and foreign residents alike to experience and enjoy a wide variety of cultures from around the world, the Festival aims to promote better understanding of international exchange, international cooperation, and multiculturalism.

　

What is happening this year?

This year, the Festival will be held on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15.

You need an advance registration to attend.

Apply between 9:00 on Thursday, 15 October and 17:00 on Tuesday, 10 November.

We accept applications by phone, fax, or email. Please tell us the event you wish to take part in and your name, telephone number, and age. If you are applying for an online event, your email address is also needed for us to send you a Zoom invite.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the number of visitors will be limited and the event program will be scaled back to ensure that people can keep a safe distance between each other.

For this reason, we are very sad to announce the cancellation of some of the regular events that we invite groups to participate in, including stalls run by Hiroshima City citizens’ groups, the Hiroshima Global Village (international food stalls), and the Global Bazaar.
