Does your visa not allow you to work? You can now do part-time work. Application required (2020/12/1)
Foreign nationals staying in Japan with residential status that does not permit them to work may now engage in part-time work for up to 28 hours a week if they are in the following situations due to COVID-19:
- Unable to return their own home country
- Having difficulties covering the cost of daily life in Japan
People who wish to do part-time work must apply for permission at the Regional Immigration Service Office. Regarding application procedures and further information, please consult with the Hiroshima Regional Immigration Bureau (Inspection Department 082-221-4468).
