1. Household registry paperwork
You will be able to make registrations that affect the household registry (koseki), such as marriage, birth and death registration, etc., at your local ward office as usual.

3. Medical services during the New Year Holidays (12/29-1/3)
▩ Be ready for anything and have COVID, influenza, or similar testing kits and fever reducing medication ready before the holidays so that if you feel unwell, you can test and recover at home.
▩ If you are not sure whether you should call an ambulance, consult with the Kyūkyū Sōdan Sentā (Medical Services Consultation Center) and/or the Kodomo no Kyūkyū Denwa Sōdan (Children’s Emergency Medical Hotline).

5. Household waste & human waste collection
Household waste
There will be no household waste collection services between December 30 (Sat), and January 3 (Wed). Services will resume on Thursday, January 4.
The collection schedule for January may differ depending on your area. Please check the Hiroshima City Garbage Disposal Guidelines (Katei Gomi Shūshū Nittei Hyō, 家庭ごみ収集日程表).
Large waste
If the collection day for large refuse items in your area falls on Friday, January 5 or Monday, January 8, please be aware of the reservation deadline below. To reserve, contact the Large Waste Information Center.

6. Water pipe repair
Contact the relevant Management Office (Kanri Jimusho) in charge of your ward. Calls made after hours or during the holidays will be automatically forwarded to the Water Pipe Repair Center (Suidō Shūri Sentā).
