Tropical Storm Warning: Typhoon 14, Chanthu (As of September 17)
Tropical storm Chanthu is presently on a path headed towards the Hiroshima area. Currently, the storm is predicted to hit the city late at night on the 17th of September. For this reason, strong winds and heavy rain are predicted for the 17th and 18th. In case of disaster, please take the following precautions:
1. In the event of a power outage, be sure to have flashlights and battery-operated radios ready. Portable chargers for smartphones are also recommended.
2. Due to potential damage caused by strong winds, it is highly recommended to secure outside objects, such as flowerpots and poles for drying laundry, or bring them inside to prevent further damage.
